Hello everyone just got my H pipe today getting ready to order mufflers I have decided to go with utraflo's here is the question I have, which muffler is everyone using the short one 14in body or the long one 20in I have noticed it seems that everyone is using the short style if so I am assuming that an extension seems to be needed if so where are you installing them in the front or the rear of the muffler thanks

I always just build my exhaust and use the 14". I add a 3-bolt flange on the back.

If it's a TTI h pipe, mine was long enough to use the shorter muffler. If I remember right, I cut off about six inches for the longer muffler. That's why they have you start at the rear by installing the tailpipes, then the mufflers, then you cut the head pipes to length. I'd be interested to know the difference in the sound level of the two.
