I need to renew my policy, wanted to see what other classic car owners think, and what pro's and con's you have experienced from real life issues. Thanks
I have Condon and Skelly - decent price, great coverage including roadside assistance. No issues except had to use the towing program twice and they were both tow companies/trucks that specialize in classic cars.
Have Hagerty, no claims, mines not a complete restoration but no problem with agreed value. Had to send pics of car; with that said I might look at Condon-Skelly also, might be cheaper. I'm at $180yearly for 10k coverage with 50mile towing I think.
Sonny has, Berkley Classics, it is an insurance program designed to focus specifically on collector vehicle owners.
Berkley Classics is part of Berkley Program Specialists and the W. R. Berkley Insurance Group.
I have no idea if it is any good.....hope I never find out!
I have Grundy, I had a engine fire ant the did the claim really fast, will be with them forever and the price is fantastic for full coverage, loaner car, towing, stolen parts etc.
I was with Haggerty because I was under the mistaken idea that my regular insurer, Direct General, wouldn't cover a classic. When it came time to renew, I called them up and inquired and found out that not only do they cover them, but the cost was less than Haggerty. Now my new, and old, cars are covered the same.
