I want to recreate my dad's 65 A990 car. The only car I've found for sale, clone or real, is the rebody at RKmotorsports. Dad is unsure what the VIN number was to his car and to our knowledge, is not known to exist. With that, my options are to buy a clone and make it as accurate as possible or go with the RK car when at a reasonable price and do the same. Any idea how many real 4 speed cars are known to exist currently?

Get in touch with Bob Mosher In Ca. He can probably tell you! Also Jim Schild he's done a lot of research on the 64-65 SS cars for his books!

Bob Mosher is a real nice guy but frowns upon people asking lot of questions simply because he is super busy. I checked Jim Schild's Maximum performance book last night. He states that 101 of each Dodge and Plymouth were made but doesnt comment on the number of 4 speeds, just that 4 speed and automatics were both available.

I emailed him to ask if he knew of a 65 plymouth for sale, he told me of the 65 dodge. I have the VIN for dad's car. I've offered 10k dollars to anyone that can find my dad's original 1965 car.
