Hello. I'm the proud owner of a California kept rust free 74 charger. I bought it with 234,000 on the odometer. Originally the 74 SE came with the 318 but the owner told me he did a swap for a 360 with an early 70's Imperial back when both cars had about 100k.
I did some sleuthing around and apparently there wasn't such a thing as an early 70's Imperial 360. Only 440. The earliest 360 imperial engine didn't come out till the 80s. Something didn't make sense but I decided to roll the dice anyways.
As soon as I got home I jacked up the car and checked out the engine stamp. 3418496-2-360 not only is it a 360 but it's a 71-74 360! Just before they started getting neutered ^_^
