What exactly is this hood called, and did they make any that were functional? On the very back of the "scoops", mine is blank. It looks like there should be a screen or something there. I know this wasn't functional, as there is factory insulation under the hood.

I've also heard more than a few people cal it the pitchfork hood.

You can remove the shields from inside the "scoops" and make it a vented hood, and could possibly build an air cleaner box and ducting.

So dumb question here.... Can you take a "power bulge" or "pitchfork" hood & add the 1970 Ramcharger box/air cleaner/ect & convert it into a Ramcharger hood? I know you can do that with a '69 Roadrunner/GTX, but I have no idea on Dodge's...just curious.

It looks like you CAN but, I think it would take quite a bit of fabrication.
Thanks for the info, very helpful.

fyi- at least on a 69 Plymouth, there is no fabrication at all, just install the correct parts.
