Colorado Mountain Lion Attack

Its less than 5 miles from me, and I was thinking the same thing, he must be a bad *** to kill a Mountain Lion with his bare hands. Pretty bizarre story for sure, but I hadn't seen it in the national news, only local Colorado news.

That’s what that Rocky Mountain it will do for your adrenaline rush - especially when you have a lion after your ***. This guys my hero!

See what happens when you don't panic ... Helps to be stronger too !

I would much rather fight TWO dogs than a cat of equal size.

That’s sure going to make for a great conversation on a date.....

Yea I guess he bashed it in the head with a rock first then was able to get behind it and wrap it up with his arms and legs and choke him out.
Can you imagine how hard an 80 pound cat was struggling?
A friend of mine use to have a pet mountain lion. We use to wrestle with it and they are incredibly strong

Glad chuck Norris is OK .Kinda sucks for the mountain lion. just doing what mountain lions do in its own backyard.
glad the guys ok. bet he wont be running that trail again.

If its not mountain lions trying to kill you, its rattle snakes up in that area!

I bet he will. These trail runners are typically mad men anyway. You can't be a trail runner or even a hiker for that matter in this state without a threat from the lions.
99% of the time you won't see them as they don't want anything to do with you. I guess this one being a juvenile was a little on the stupid side.
I would rather run that trail than through the middle of Chicago.

I don't know about you guys, but if I killed a lion with my bare hands I would not have left it there. That sucker would've been over my shoulders on its way to get stuffed ! That's a conversation starter for sure ...

crazy ****

bad *** for sure

80# cat is like a 240# bad *** with 20 razor sharp knifes &
huge teeth/fangs
seems they always attack from behind too,
running doesn't do you any good
that just triggers the flight of prey instincts even more

I hope your friend is doing well
article/video said no life threatening injuries

I was on a Quad/OHV/Mountain bike Trail in Foresthill Ca.
a couple years back, right after a guy got attacked on his bike
by an adult male, it jumped on him from an overhang off a cliff above
(probably some 20+ feet), rolled the guy down the hill
into the brush...
He was messed up, arms, legs, head & neck too
he said our engines screaming coming up the trail, scared him off...
Cat got away, later the Ca. Fish & Game wardens got a almost 200# male
with human blood on him, they think was the attacker, he was put down...

crazy ****, it's the wild
& we aren't the top of the food chain 'usually'
unless armed, sometime not even then

he was a lucky dude
so was your friend, extremely lucky, even with an adolescent/young male

He's got to be a relative of Chuck.
The word has spread through the animal kingdom:

I guess he was bleeding pretty badly as you can imagine.
I hear he ran ~3 miles afterward to be able to get to his car and drove himself to the hospital.
Taking a trophy probably wasn't the first thing on his mind.
