I drive the streets of Manhattan for my Job. The roads are just terrible. I swerved through this obstacle course filled with moonscape of craters... This year My score this 3 Flats & a damage Rim.

I'm just West of Chicago. Same thing! Freezing temps/Salt/thawing/freezing=Potholes. Thinking of taking my
Bike out Wednesday and Thursday but worry about the dangers of hitting a pothole!

That's 12 months a year in Pennsylvania! Probably why there's so many four wheel drives around here.

Its ALLWAYS pot hole season in NY........ Ive never seen good roads in the city ever since ive been driving there (the 80s) I don't go in the city much any more but cant imagine that they would have gotten better...... sorry but that city IS a hole

And I thought Ohio was bad!

It might of been me.... I use 2 vehicles BMW long wheel base. And Range Rover LW.

FDR south is a nightmare for potholes, and there are too many to name streets...

It sure seems like our roads are falling apart all over the country. Chicago looks like the pictures of New York. I've read that we have a huge percentage of our bridges 50+ yrs. old that aren't safe anymore either. We need some investment in our infrastructure, don't you think?

If I were to answer you as where we could divert wasted money to fix the infrastructure it would push this thread into the polititical section.:usflag:

I worked at the rail yard on 14th and western for a few Years, sitting at the light on 15th street headed to work one day and a pick up clipped the column making that sharp turn. the way that thing crumbled was amazing, walk under any bridge in Chicago and look up and I guarantee youll run out of there due to fear of the thing collapsing. Pathetic what the you know who’s that run the city turned that place into.

Same problem in my neck of the woods. I don't understand why most roads aren't concrete. Some will say 'cost', some will say union lobbyist. The cost of repairing, maintaining, replacing asphalt must be higher than concrete?

Compare what's in concrete and what's in asphalt. If a road is heavily used or a major throughway it should be made on concrete.

Holy ****....14" of rain? That is unreal!

Promises made, promises broken.....
:wtf:

Take the city to court! Your tax dollars are there to keep the roads maintained and obviously they are not doing that.
