Was running fine, pulled into garage, it began to run rough and suddenly dies and will not restart..(it is over 110 degrees today).
I let it sit for an hour, tried to restart...nothing, does not even try to fire just cranks over.
Plenty of good gas
Battery is new
New coil
New correct spark plugs gapped correctly
new plug wires
Distributor cap good
Electronic ignition module
New starter relay
I suspect the old Holley 1920 single carb, but wouldn't it at least try to fire?
Your input, as always, appreciated.

first thing I would check to see if you have spark. Could be a bad ignition resistor, bad Electronic ignition module?

broken plastic distributor gear, take off the cap have a friend crank the engine see if the distributor rotor still turns

Is the engine internal original
as the factory timing gear was nylon they fail
and as above check spark and fuel

Start at the tank and check the fuel lines, any rubber hoses for rot and sucking air, up to and check the fuel pump to see if you are getting fuel. Looks like you have the electrical covered with all the new stuff.UNLESS you are sure that you aren't getting any spark.

Well I think I found the problem.......vapor lock! After it "cooled down" to about 105 in my garage, I poured some cold water (don't laugh, an old guy told me to do this) on the fuel pump and fuel lines and......she fired right up as if nothing happened!

Damn Desert, I see 115* in Bull Head today......Time to stay indoors.Or install a electric booster pump to combat the vapor lock.
Heat is tough. When it's over 100* my brake light on the dash of my old truck comes on.Nothing wrong with the brake system but something expands enough for the switch to activate.Haven't figured it out.Been that way for years.
Did you get the A/C working on the car yet ?

yes, the AC is working great......unfortunately now the car won't start again this morning. It tries to fire but I think it may be the carb this time, I sent you a pm a little while ago.
