1968 Coronet. I am ready to put in the gas pedal. The holes for the bracket that goes on the firewall are there, but not the two holes in the floor pan for the gas pedal. Any measurements or pictures would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mike.

Do you know if a 68 RR is the same? Mine is still semi apart and I can get to it easy.

OK, I'll have a look tomorrow and let you know with pics measurements etc. Too many beers in tonight to stumble out to the shop. :drinks:

Finally, found my reference....Enjoy...

Gas Pedal
1. Outer hole(towards driver door) from inside edge of frame rail to center is roughly 8 1/8-1/4(between)
2. Inner hole towards trans tunnel 9 5/8-3/4(between)
3. Both holes from inside of trans crossmember brace are 10 3/4"

I'll do it from the inside tomorrow.

Didn’t realize you edited this after the fact.....let’s see you do better without a lift on an assembled car.......

Maybe you can’t tell but many others could....

Are you just being an azz because I posted before you....geez....

What about the carpeting and the bracket on the fire wall. Does the carpeting go under the bracket, over the bracket, or is it cut out around the bracket?

Also page 54 and 55
I have seen the original carpet cut a couple different ways from the factory. The X was from the LR assembly and I cut mine from examples I have seen from original cars.

A slit was cut from the top of the right side of the bracket to allow for passage of the throttle cable attachment side. Then on the left side a hole is cut to allow the lever arm to pass through for the gas pedal.

I have never really paid attention to this assembly before. Offset mounting points, top and bottom. Measurements are within a 16th despite what the pics show.
Let me know if you need additional clarification or need a measurement from another point.

Top mounting point, 2 1/4 center to center, 12 1/8 to the outer most lug from the inner fender.

Bottom mounting point, 1 3/8 center to center, outer most bolt 10 5/8 from the inner fender.

I guess it's all related, sorry I misunderstood. Sorry I tried to help Mike. I thought I could help by having a semi disassembled car. PM me if you need some additional info without the oversight.
You really need to get laid MN. I'LL LET YOU HANDLE IT FROM HERE.....
