Rhoedes lifters would be worth a try with your existing purple cam, you would only need to pull your intake manifold off as well. You would get a lot of your low end power back.

the summit 6401 works very well with a 3.23 gear, stock exhaust, and a stockish converter. I liked the one I had.

Which rhoads lifters? How do they work? Seems like they used to be called fast bleed lifters?

Ok I was reading on the rhoads website. Original lifters will work with my stock rockers. I’m gonna order a set. All I have to do is pull the intake and valve covers. And rockers and push rods. Won’t even have to buy gaskets or a valley pan cause I have them already. Great idea Furryfrog. That might just do the trick. Cheaper. Easier. I like it.

I would suggest the 220 -226 Lunati voodoo cam. I beleive this would be a fantastic cam for your setup, smooth idle as well as great low end and midrange where most of your driving is. Couple that with a performer intake and it will wake up the car imensley.

I ordered a set of rhoads super lube original lifters from summit. Even had a $20 off certificate. All in all $157 and only take a few hours work. Won’t even have to drop the coolant or pull the distributor. Man I really love big block mopars. So easy to work on. Thanks to all
