69 A12 no power at all, just dropped in new engine

Hmmmm, my hazards never worked until a Mopar buddy of mine told me I had to have the turn signal arm activated, left or right. Worked on his Bee and mine.

Never heard this.

My Hazards have not worked ever. A solid lite activates. That’s it. I’ll have to try this in the morning. Ignition on, activate left signal, then try hazard switch.

Never knew that. Turns out it was a power wire from the ignition switch out. We lost power there tightened up the connector and boom.

Only thing now is my reverse lights are always on when driving. But this trans is buggered. The pan is FULL of the glitter of bad things

A little update, fused link was popped, and a wire on the ing switch was bad.

it ran awesome for about an hour then popped the fuse and died. Battery was weak and it was a brand new battery. So we charged it all up let it sit and idle and it popped the fuse and died again. Looking for the culprit

Like follow up reports. Don't always get them, keepum coming.

Unhook the output from the alternator and give it another whirl to see if anything pops. Possibly a shorted out armature.

Well final update here, as it seems to be fixed. It was a wire that was cut at some point some time ago. It went from the bulkhead connector to the battery wire. Not sure how long it's been cut but that wire was the cause.

It goes up to 14+ under driving conditions and at idle with the twin electric fans it still charges at 12.8

It seemed to be caused by the voltage reg causing a high resistance setting, the MSD box trying to pull what ever it could leading to the car running on battery only since there was no charging loop.

Also the hazards still don't work, with or without the turn signal on in any direction. I think it's the relay, also my tic-toc tach doesn't work but it's unplugged
