I wasn't to concerned the other day then we woke up and learned the dang hurricane was a cat 4 and point right at us !
It still has time to grow! Great!!!!
Then to add to the problem there's this news guy called jim cantorie he goes where the storm is going to hit hardest !
Well f##k there's Jim beach side at a local bar!
Great he's right here in my town at Melbourne beach ! (Again) you always find him at the local bars before a hurricane!
So I'm getting the ky out and going to take it like a man ! I'm not leaving .might send my wife and kid inland somewhere .
I'll take pictures as the fun starts !

Oh did I mention all the beer is sold out already!

Man ,i hope that you'll be ok. I was a roofer back when hurricane Andrew rolled through , after seeing the stuff i saw no way in hell would i stay for a big one. Let's hope it changes course.

Good luck.

I used to live in Orlando back in the 70's early 80's I can remember 4 hurricanes that hit not all hit Florida. David,Gloria,Fredrick and Joy i think was a tropical storm. David being the worst of the 4. Indecently My mother and father are named David Frederick and My moms name is Gloria Joy. Maybe just a coincidence.

Good Luck, stay safe..We were thinking of going to St. Augustine for a couple weeks around the holiday, when my daughter asked if we could wait till the end of Oct. so we changed our plans.

Jim Cantore is an idiot.
Isn't he the guy who was reporting on a storm and it looked like he could hardly stand due to the wind when two people with their dog casually strolled by behind him?

Stay safe all! Protect the family and then storm-proof the mopars!

I lived in Fort Lauderdale for 12 years and went through 7 hurricanes including Katrina (yes it hit Florida first)....There was one September when we got one every weekend, they referred to Florida as “the plywood state”, there was even a picture depicting it (maybe Cranium has it on file) :D

Tis but a thing. I'm in West Palm Beach and if you can do it right, you'll do ok. Concrete block house, metal roof, and impact windows always do well. Sitting on 285 gallons of fuel, nine cans of propane, three generators, and pretty much everything we will need to keep us okay. Ten people coming over to get drunk Sunday.

My shop is open today to get the rest of my customers generators running and anything else that might need help. Put the shutters up at two and start drinking by five!

I won't lie, I have been looking at properties in my hometown of Mentor, Ohio. As usual.

There ya go.
Perfect example of someone who doesn't look at others being responsible for their own well being based on their life choices.
Takes responsibility for choosing to live in hurricane alley and makes provisions to do so.
I love it. Good on ya!
Wish more were like you...

Woah, Ohio? I can see checking into getting out of where you're at, but let's not get crazy here. :)

:wtf:....I think the meteorologists have covered their asses by saying that this strom could hit anywhere from Florida to Maine. Mom lives in our house in Jacksonville and is preparing for what may be. My brother is buttoning up the house just in case it hits there. To all down there.....be safe and take care.

Honestly it's probably best if it hits us , something like this is Floridians second nature we will be fine other areas aren't prepared for stuff like this
