True on the buyer's end, but it doesn't go directly into the seller's account instantly like you see in the movies. The can be a lag of just hours or it can take several days. It all depends where it's coming from.
Interesting.
I recently sold two pieces of real estate and received the wire instantaneously.
What would hold up an overseas wire for days?
I sold a house 9:00 this morning & nothing in my account yet. I bank at a credit union & the transaction coming in has to go through a couple of layers of red tape once the button is pushed. I'm not sure what's involved with the buyer, their bank and attorney to set the funds in motion.
I just sold a 1960 Dodge to a gentleman in new Zealand. The deposit showed by Paypal within an hour. His bank wired the balance in three days. It did take 30 days to get a trucker to pick it up, but this time of year it was understandable. It sold on Bill of sale only as well. How long does it take for funds to "clear"?
