The growth occurs up and out. Keeping it cut low encourages outward growth of the stolons. It is common Bermuda and grows pretty tall unlike the finer varieties bred for golf courses and manicured lawns. I used to mow it about 3 inches tall but it needs to spread out to fill those bare spots caused by weeds/disease.
I know livestock prefers fresh grass over hay. But I've always wondered how they know the grass is sweet?

that's funny, I wish you were right! once it starts it's about 12hrs. a week for me,cutting,trimming. but first I have to get everything cleaned up which takes a month! 42 cottages at the resort and an acre at home!
Father in law does that from time to time.. it gets expensive!! LOL
