383 Low oil pressure,

I think it was a 15W40, i'm gonna try to buy 20w50 tomorrow and see what happens

if the oil if got fuel in it it is not oil anymore change now . dont use synthetic oil right now wait till you get 30 p.s.i hot at idle in gear

I have a leak in the rear crank seal could that have the effect? Its not that big. The oil had fuel in it thoe. That damn electric choke makes the carb to get flooded. Can you make an Holley electric choke to inactive? I will try to buy GULF oil 20W50 tomorrow and se what happens. Thats
Hope you havent taken those new bearings out. Gas makes a good cleaner but a poor lubricant.

the choke can be disable by turn the heater coil for the choke . one way will lit the chock butter fly very loose the other it will feel springy when cold key off before start..

When you say 20 cold, then 0 hot at idle, do the lifters sound like a train going by? How much at say 1500 to 2000 rpm?

Did you make sure you got all the oil gallery plugs in place... Ask me how I know..

Nope, they dont =S thats the wierd thing about it, if i rev it when hot it goes up to like around 17

I would try exactly what beanhead suggests. Good diagnostic technique.
And I would hope for a missing gallery plug!

To run rifle cleaning brushes through the oil passages. Part of a thorough block cleaning before assembly.

Aah, okey. Well. I'm gonna test it again tomorrow with new oil and filter. The bypass thingi was hard to get to lying on the concret =S

I forgot the gallery plug that sits under the front cam bearing. The oil was pumped out of the oil pump right back into the pan behind the timing cover. That was a 300.00 mistake I won't ever do again. Had to replace all of the bearings..Lucky though the crank was in great shape. The bearings were probably ok but to be safe i replaced them. You can see the gallery plug I missed in this other persons post. When the block is upright you cant see it. Thats why I missed it.

**** i really want to take it bak out butt i'm afraid that i hurt the paint =( So the easier way would be to take all of it out the way it should.

Don't give up so easy! Do some diagnosis. If it's a gallery plug, all you have to do is pull the front cover. Maybe it is just the pump. Oil pump pickup too low, against the bottom of the oilpan. See if you can figure out the problem before you assume you need to yank it out.
There are externally adjustable bypass spring setups, for the big block mopar oil pump, but they won't cure excessive bearing clearances (I've tried them.)

Thankfully for me it was on the run stand when I figured out it wasnt getting oil.. So It wasnt so bad. An easy test would to be pull both valve covers and spin the engine over and see if its pumping oil to the rocker shafts. If not then you may have a missed gallery plug.

Yeah no i'm going to do all the things what i have to do in the right order! =P

There are more than one gallery plugs in the engine... Most you can see easy I missed the one under the cam bearing.

If you pull the pan, Plastigauge a few of the mains and rods and see where you're at with clearances.
