Hey guys, I just had to share this with you...
Thanks again for your marvelous advice that helped me fix the GTX.

Last Saturday night my wife and I cruised up to the Sonic Drive-in and ordered a cheese burger and a chocolate shake. It was so much fun. I've waited 50 years to get the GTX, and cruising the Sonic with my best girl in the GTX was on my Bucket List.

Thanks again for helping me get that one checked off the list! I plan to do it often now.

Right on man. Next time take some pictures for memories and sharing them...

Cool, just now getting warm enough around here to cruise. Wish we had a drive in around here to cruise to. Used to back in my younger days, a lot of black marks on the highway leaving the place.

Dang! I should have taken some pix - I guess I was just having too much fun to think of that! I will make sure and get some pix next time!

Glad you had a good Cruise, takes your mind
off other things.

It sounds like a good time. My wife would rather not have anything to do with my car. Or maybe its just me I may have to do some thinking on this one.

sounds like fun, glad it all worked out for ya'
& your best girl too

I spent 4 years in the USAF -1970-1974. One year in electronics school at Keesler AFB, then three years at McChord AFB. I was supposed to spend that last year in S.E. Asia, but one month before my scheduled departure all orders for that theater were cancelled. I repaired navigation beacons, Instrument Landing Systems and such. I left Uncle Sam's service as a Buck Sergeant. Nobody thanked us for our service back then, matter of fact, I was called a baby-killer a few times. I'm glad that today's military is appreciated.

Yes, thank you for your service! I was called a baby killer in around 2002, in front of a bunch of my local Mopar buddies and not one of them had my back (to say something to him). I told the *** who said that he was lucky that I was a gentleman. I got in my car and drove away instead of punching his face. That was very hard to do. There are many asses still out there.

Well, if I had been in that crowd we might have both ended up in jail! In the early 70's our Base Commander at McChord asked us to go straight home and change in to civvies right after work and not to wear our uniforms in public unless we had to. In those days there were some real nut-cases in the Seatlle/Tacoma area, but the beauty of the area made up for it!
