Whats the best way to remove the PentaStar on my passenger lower fender without incurring any curse from Chrysler?
If I say it out-loud the curse will get meWould you rather have a couple of holes than the pentastar?
Mine is a 1970Then they weren't '69 originals.
No you only get the curse if you break it!If I say it out-loud the curse will get me
My Superbird had a speed nut, some my 67's did not one or two a metal emblem clip that fit in the bigger hole and when you pushed the pentastar in it expanded so that it locked in. 66 and earlier had speed nuts on the all metal emblem. Take your pick, nothing is carved in stone.I've removed allot of them when doing body work, including the original paint 68 Coronet fenders I used on my car... Never found one secured with a nut....
Not necessarily, I just can't be sure some of my cars had previous restoration attempts, so I'm not attesting that anything was original. I put a pentastar on my 09 SRT8 Challenger and I took one of the 9 dollar repops and cut the pins off and attached with 2 sided tape. If it's around in 50 years there will be a discussion by someone about what was original, when it wasn't made with one.Well I guess I've been dropped on my head, but I can tell you for certain that both of mine have a speed nut holding them on like most emblems.
Legend has it that whom ever is responsible for removing the Pentastar from any Chrysler unit will become a wolf when the wolfsbane blooms and the Autumn moon is bright. My '64 has a nut.
...and they shall be cursed to to howl all night, and sleep behind a dumpster at the local McDonalds.Legend has it that whom ever is responsible for removing the Pentastar from any Chrysler unit will become a wolf when the wolfsbane blooms and the Autumn moon is bright.
