Need opinions on a 65 Satellite 4 door

Here’s the question, I want to change over to a 2 door, I have a 64 2 door sedan for all the pieces. The 64 floors are gone and not sure about frame. Would I be better off using the 64 then adding the 65 parts or cut the roof and back to use on the 65? I have the skills to do either way. Just want a matching 65 to go with my 64 Savoy, both red or maybe one black and one red. Opinions please

Well, in my opinion, regardless if you have the skills to do that or not I would just go look for a suitable two door to start and forgo all the grief of cobbling together a car. Save your stuff as parts cars or sell them to offset the cost of getting a 2 door.

A good while back there was a thread on here of somebody doing just what you’re talking about, turning a 4 door into a 2 door on an early B. I don’t remember who or what forum.

That should factor in. How about the trim condition? Glass?

The 65 is in the best condition especially cowl. Been thinking of cutting the 64 quarter to patch right behind the back door leaving the jam for rigidly. Both hinge post are spot welded, easily removed. Only thing I’ll need is the folding bench seat

No trim will be used, 2 sets of glass, 6 doors. Actually two cars to get the pieces off and a set of rust free doors bought long ago. 65 is in real good no rust shape, floors, frame, cowl, fenders, trunk, hood and grill
