Just found out about this. I have an Android phone, in settings.. google settings... Covid 19 exposure notifications. In I phones it is settings..health...

If it is turned on it can notify you if you have been near someone who reported having Covid 19. Is this scary or what?

Sure you might think this is a good thing, I dont like the idea that people can be tagged for whatever "they, the authority's" want.

If you acknowledge it , they can see where you go , where you have been . Kind of like being monitored. Or do you like just being free? They are trying To do the same thing up here.

Truth of it is , if you have a cell phone, and it's turned on, your cell phone provider knows where you are. No getting around that unless it's turned off.

Together we can fool them.....

People need to stop carrying phones and start carrying guns. A lot of today’s problems would be solved...

My iPhone bugs me out sometimes. I get in the car and sometimes it knows where I’m going and tells me how many minutes to get there. Especially between work and home.

It’s learned your patterns because it’s tracking your every move.

Just turn everthing off except the camera & FBBO!

Just checked my Iphone and did not find any Covid crap on there under health or anywhere else.

No joke, I was using this 1996 Motorola Startac as late as last year. This 24 year old phone had better battery life and call quality than my $1200 Galaxy 9S +. If you wanted a cellphone and wanted to be off of the grid, this phone and others like it are the key, because they are not GPS enabled and are not automatically connected to the internet like modern phones. BUT.....as of this year, cellphone companies are no longer supporting phones that are not GPS enabled.

So, in the name of safety, off-grid phones like the phone you highlighted, as well as my beloved startac are no longer useable because no cellphone carrier will allow them on their network. If i am wrong, and if you or anyone here knows a cellphone carrier that will take phones like these relics, please let me know. Rocking an antique phone like this is like driving the Charger: stares and OMG's for days...

I turned all the stuff off on my iphone and haven't loaded any updates. I looked and didn't see any Virus tracking app. I don't use the maps, or apple store, or location or anything like that. I think the phone thinks I'm somewhere in Texas judging by it's attempts to locate a store near me.
I use Duck Duck Go instead of Google.

It's the law on cell phones - for E911 purposes, the "location" of the phone is active regardless.
You can choose what other applications have access to your location (or none at all, like me).

I don't really give a flying **** who or what knows where I am. I'm packing heat. if they have nothing better to do than live my boring life with me, have at it.
