Howdy,
So this is more of a curiousity post than anything else.
The past few times I drove my car, it would die when warming up. Start back up again no problems. But this time she died and wouldn't start. Lost spark. Tested the coil and the readings are all over the map, from .7 to 45 ohms. And absolutely inconsistent. I did find that my negative battery cable was a bit loose and thought that was it so i charged the battery as well.
So here's the question; could the negative cable being loose have fried the coil? Or could my msd 6al2 just be too much for an accel coil to handle? Or are accel coils just that bad? (My second accel coil. My first died before the msd box and i blamed it on age.)
Thanks.
