engine wiring harness connector question

I have a new connector for engine wire harness. The plastic piece that attaches to bulkhead connector. I'm reinserting the wires that came from the old connector. Is there a correct orientation when inserting the terminals into the connector? There are two tabs at the aft end of the connector, just aft of where the terminal wings clamp to the wires insulation. Depending on how you look at it they can be up or down. The terminal can be inserted in the connector with the tabs up or tabs down. Which way is correct or doesn't it matter? BTW, the aft tabs are parallel with the forward tabs.

I think they will only fit correctly one way
