have an auto thinking over converting to a manual

It’s like 8k at brewers I went with Norma half the price and got everything except TGIF carpet, the reverse light and drive shaft
If I had to do it again I’d go to norms again

brewers is nice but too expensive no need to pay double for the same parts quality is there from both sources
8k?? What is the quote number you received? Even an 18 spline kit with a B body console is not near that much.

It’s 2021 call brewers or passon those are the prices. Everything went up. Check the prices on lumber too

What would Dan Brewer know about pricing??

LOL, did you even read the respondent's name??
No. I’m sure there’s a lot of people with that name.
Did you read my name ? Do you really think I’m a pony ? Lol

of that’s the guy who owns brewers or works for brewers well that’s good. I’m glad he heard my feedback. I did call them brewers, passon, silver sport and they were all over 6k. I don’t remember who’s pricing was who’s but those three were over 6k and that’s fine that’s the pricing. I’m sure they quality, the products and expertise is awesome and I’m not bashing on them I just did what I’m sure most consumers do. They shop around and pick the option that suits them best.

My cars a decent driver and that’s alright with me.
I apologize if I offended anyone but that’s not what I meant to do

I have the Tremec 5 spd with hydraulic clutch in the Dart and I love it. There's nothing like banging the gears on a V8.
I second Kern's post about the 6 spd on our cars. It's a bigger trans so a lot more fab work to get it installed.

The 6 speed sounds impressive and for some situations, it may be great. The way I figured, the benefits it provided did not apply to me and were not worth the cost.
If I had a late model 6.4-392, the six speed would be great. Those engines have variable valve timing and can run great at 1100 rpms and 80 mph. My 440 based 493 has a mild to moderate cam that isn’t all that happy loping along at under 1300 rpms.
I don’t drive at 90 mph for extended periods so the .50 6th gear is more complexity, weight and cost for no benefit to me.

Cant really eat or drink something while driving or use a phone because you constantly have to shift.
Especially in stop and go traffic you constantly have to use the clutch / shift gears. Do this for an hour non stop and you had a nice workout.

Get going on a hill is also a bit tricky. I always use the parking brake to make sure i do not roll backwards... :D

Nah, all easy :) My daily is manual trans, hour commute each way.

Have 6 cars, only one is auto as it wasn't offered with a manual.
