Hurricane Henri

Looks like it's missing long island, off to the east of Montauk. Heading to east CT & RI.

Just got home to MA & the storm here was not as bad as predicted. Cripes, they can't even get the track of a storm right one day in advance, yet, they think that they can predict what the state of the weather will be years and decades out.

So far so good here, turned out to be a non-event just a rainy & breezy day. Top wind gust was 25mph.

My daughter in the boonies of East Hampton that's CT not LI. lost power for 2hrs. All quiet here. Worried had tickets $70 to go to Holiday Hill for senior picnic thought they might cancel. They have a raw clam bar for 3hours. Don't think I'll beat the 135 of them I ate 20 years ago.

All good here as well, as Roger said just rain and wind. No power losses or down trees here that I saw

...or what it was for centuries before the advent of modern recording equipment, for that matter. :)

GOOD LUCK EAST-COASTERS!
Wanna trade some fire for some of that rain?:praying:

after they hyped up this doomsday storm i finally went out and bought a $1000 generator.... lights never even flickerd or dimmed...

First off, of course prayers and best wishes for all those in the path as always.
Scary stuff, weather. Got no way to steer the dang things...

Secondly, I always wonder "hey folks in the flood-prone zones - how come you keep
rebuilding there?"

I feel your pain. Did that last fall after 9 days no power. They had power to the Waterbury line in 4/5 days but not us, got Costco power and screw you.

Consider it cheap insurance. I’ve had the same one for almost 15 years and used it during Storm Sandy for almost a week.

A generator is one of those things that is expensive that you (hopefully) rarely use, but when the need arises, you are glad that you have it.
