been looking 20 years, finally it happened

I have been looking at number production, and ! am astounded that only 74 1968 charger 383 four speeds were made! how many are still here? I had no Idea, I was just happy to get a charger! only 259 in a four barrel as well. Oh Boy......

I had to check those #'s thinking you made a mistake, but you are correct. Pretty rare, and very cool...
 
I resisted posting again, but i just had to mention a chance meeting on the highway today coming up to a stoplight, and to my left was a new challenger with the 392 badge on it, and I was in the yellow 68 charger. that guy could not stop looking at the charger, as were the other drivers around me. I was tired, but I woke up, and just chuckled, feeling grateful that I was driving a manual steering and manual brake four speed charger, and not that grey beast rumbling by!
not to mention that window sticker on that car!
The rest of the day was very relaxing!

Great find, thx for sharing the story. Some similarities with my daughter's 69RT story. Good friend bought it new at Crenshaw Dodge in LA. He had it until 2010 when he sold it to my neighbor who sold it to my daughter in 2015. A lot of memories, my friend and I with that RT.
 
Oh, Those days. My wife and I were so young,, I still see her 30 years old, Don't forget those days, it will keep you balanced when you hit 69 years old.That is why I own and drive this old cantankarous old dodge.
