Guys, a member here posted a link last Christmas to a company that would enlarge your photo to a very large size. I can't remember where, anybody. I have a spot under my bar top in my shop that I am looking to cover with a 4 x 8 foot b body poster. Im thinking having my own photo may be the easiest way to find what i want....thanks...

Our local UPS store made a couple of poster size photos for me.

I would talk to Mike. He is the track photographer for Norwalk (Summit Dragway). He does beautiful work, and can likely offer better services (special papers, etc.) than some generic places would do.
Moto Lenz Photos, Michael Davis, ohio, action sports photographer

Good luck, and let us know what you are doing and how it turns out please.

WOW, 4x8... thats huge, didnt notice the size at first.

The plan is to attach it to a sheet of plywood somehow and then either polyurethane or clear epoxy over it , something to seal it permanently . Some companies I have found say they can do it fairly cheap on poster paper. Just not sure how I would attach that to plywood with out having any bleed thru's......but a vinyl banner just might be the trick...thanks....

A key consideration: Assuming you are starting with a digital picture, you need a very high resolution picture to blow it up to 4' x 8'. A lower resolution picture will look grainy and pixilated if blown up too far, even if it looks great on your phone and/or PC. Talk to whoever is doing this work to be sure the image you are requesting will look good blown up that far.

I wish I could remember what company the Autry Museum of the American West in LA used when they enlarged one of my images to about 10' x 20'. The camera I used at the time was only about 6mp, but they did an excellent job blowing it up.

I have a picture of my first Road Runner blown up to poster size - roughly 20" x 36".

Its tucked away right now....but when I can get to it...I'll post it up. Turned out quite nice....for a 34 year old 35mm SLR camera that my mother loaned me....it was hers back in the 60's.

When my wife got mine from Vistaprint, she said if you sign up for notifications,
they have sales sometimes up to 50% off. They send you an email.
