Hey guys. I’m going to be putting a tunnel ram on my 440 in a few weeks. Just wondering what you guys are running for linkages? I plan on running 2 1405 edlebrock carbs and I have a 727 so I need to hook up the kickdown. I had a tunnel ram year ago on a small block but was only running 1 carb on that setup. Let me know what you guys have and some pics. Thanks for the help. I plan on putting this on my charger but I’m not cutting up my nice hood. I have my original rusty hood that we’ll sacrifice and just make look pretty. It’s a perfect hood for this.

I know this doesn't help, sorry, but I would put a rmvb in the 727, and put the kick down in a box on the shelf.
That's what I did with my crossram.

Most guys running a tunnel ram with an automatic ran a manual valve body... That said a cable like Lokar & Bouchalion sell would probably be easier to adapt than a bell crank type linkage..

X4 on the manual valve body. Can't imagine how to make a stock style kickdown linkage for any of my tunnel ram set up's. The throttle linkage is hard enough.

What type of shifter do you have? The MRVB will require some type of floor shifter and if you currently have a column or factory console it will require major changes to your interior. I like MRVBs (have 2 now) but if you're just cruising, the cable seems like the easy way out.

I think there are still forward shift manual valve bodies out there. Not sure why a RVMVB wouldn't work with a column shifter?

First but a $20 E-bay cable that makes it up to the carbs. No bell crank crap. Then if you don't run a manual valve body get a Lokar cable kit. This is different set up but shows how to get the cable to the carb.

Daily drove a 440 rr with column shift rmvb for years. Column was modified so that 1-2 shift was just a tap down, 2-3 was a tug toward the wheel and down. Worked great. Rmvb is the best way to use a column shifter. All shifts away from neutral.
Race hemi cars in the sixties used column shift rmvb from the factory.

Two of my cars have RMVBs with stock column shifters.

Thanks Guys. I’ll look into a few of these options.
I’ll post what I do once I get closer to the install. Still have almost 3’ of snow on the front yard.
