Broke my 7UP Pop Machine today....

probably the same 3 tires
Exactly... what I alluded to in the post. Oh.. and the exact same price! $430 Green Beans PER. + $441US for shipping + not 13% tax, but somehow they're mandated to collect 23% tax (probably because the tires are made offshore). $3600 Cdn for 4 tires. Makes me want to do like everyone else and throw some cheap BFG's on, but I like this car correct.

LOL.. so why not just google it Wayne? Coker's website claims they are at 1317 Chestnut street 37402. UVT claims 2101 Rossville Ave. 37408

Google..

Now I just got an email to do a survey on how my order with Coker went, with an different order number than my UVT order had. Just gets stupider by the minute...

So more googling Coker tires "museum" and probably executive offices are at their listed address. Both Cokers Warehouse and UVT's address are the same place, Coker's tire warehouse! World wide web games, but I get it running a family business for 39 years..LOL.

Wow. That's a lot of money for 4 tires. I know it's a special car and all, but I'd be throwing on some cheap(er) radials and running them for now.

Plus, you have a lot of other cars now to keep shoes on!

I spend a 100 dollars a year on stupider stuff... lol

Hell, my funnels cost 70 bucks now

Wayne, I feel your pain! You maybe have already tried, but what about Kelsey Tire Inc. I purchased Goodyear F70-15 white lines from them years ago. They list the F60-15's on their website currently. Not inexpensive though. just a thought.

Kelsey just gets them from Coker. And I woke up this morning and realized all the email "read receipts" from UVT state "message received by server at coker.com" ! LOL

Back order is in place... when ever they come in. Maybe I'll throw the set of 14" road wheels and BFG's on it for now that I bought for the Bee back when. Mind you I have more faith in my 34 year old Polyglass than 10 year old BFG's!

Our power is out and phone about done. Full 8 hours put in today. Door handles, reinforcements, all linkages and door lock tumblers installed. Both door glass assemblies in and adjusted. Catwhiskers and all seal into place. Ready for interior door cards and arm rests. A couple quick pics... I'll do the "detail" shots tomorrow.

Todays piss off... if you read back 11 months I tried to order new Polyglass GT F60-15 RWL tires early last May. Universal Vintage Tire told me they expected some possibly in June or July but that they had no fixed ETA. Whomever I was talking to advised that I needed to pay in full to get a back order going, even though they had no idea when they'd have tires. I wasn't willing to pay up front and asked them to advise when tires came in..crickets after that.

Saturday night I figured I'd put in an order again, seeing I saw that some folks just recently got tires. Coker came up as showing only 3 in stock, no ETA on a back order for the 4th. Next up I again tried UVT, which took my online order and credit card information. This morning UVT advised that they only have 3 in stock.. hmmm.. lol

Guy advises he can put them on backorder and they MAY have some by late Summer Aug/September but can't guarantee anything. All of the tires that they did get in went to fill backorders from the past year. I said "so here we are a year later and nothing has changed. Surely I can't be expected to pay up front to get a backorder in process to make sure I get tires this time". He states "we never charge up front, only when and if they go out the door". FFS, I'd have tires if they'd done my back order last May.

Guess they'll go round and round for the 34th year.
That is aggravating to say the least.....let's hope you get them soon Wayne.

I have seen a lot of that here also...companies are more interested in Customer focussed feedback than actually providing a decent service.

I have been dishing out some nastiness with my dissatisfaction feedbacks lately - the Council, big Corps and companies.....what are they gonna do about it?
Probably all gets filed in the X-bin if it's not favourable to them....they certainly wouldn't publish my rants.
