I have to state this and I’ll bet that many others here feel the same way…
These shows are great but what makes them so much better is being around nice and interesting people. In 2011 or 2012, I finally started staying at the hotel that is linked with the club that hosts this event. I used to just pick a cheap hotel.
This move put me around more people that were there for the show and the parking lot was a small scale car show and BS session. It raised the fun factor a lot.
It became more than just looking at cars and shopping for parts. The activities that CPW planned and organized also enhanced the experience of the show. The years featuring the Friday night at the Picture Car Warehouse was the best for me. I loved the opportunity to walk through the lot to see cars used in movies that I had seen. Ted Moser hosted that and I really appreciated the gracious gesture that he did for us all.
Over the years, some Mopar guys have faded from the hobby and left a void at show time. I liked hanging with Dennis, John and Dwayne. They were missed. Rich/Coronet Darter is a great guy to see at this show too when he can make it.
This year, Mary and I joined in with another crew of equally fun people…
Randy and Jim in one Challenger, Mike and Alan in another one, Carl in his recently acquired Coronet wagon, Mick M in his Hemi Road Runner and Bill and Luke made this a great time. All of them are great people… interesting dudes and solid car guys.
The social activities associated with this show elevate the experience to a higher level.
I hope to see them at the Mopar Alley show in June.
Nothing in this state compares to this show though. It is a highlight of the year.

No biggie, just like many of us I try to help.. And after Mary put up with all us guys she deserved a little comfort... Glad it seemed to help... I really think the expansion valve needs to get changed but it might just be excess oil restricting flow causing the low side reading to intermittently go into a vacuum...
