Played tourist. We went to Hearst Castle and did the Julia Morgan tour. That place is awesome and mind boggling. When I lived in the central coast before, it was not on my to do list to check the place out. One year I was working at a parts store and this older gent comes in for some parts. Since by his accent, he was not a native and was from England. I asked him what he was doing here and he said he was a stone mason. I figured blocks/bricks. Nope. Stone as in carve stuff out. Hearst Castle brought him out from England to do restoration work there. His next trip to the store he brings a photo album to show us his work. OMG! Since that time, we've been back a few times to take different tours. I highly recommend visiting this place.

Tiled the bathroom floor this afternoon.

I wouldn't hate flooring so much if it wasn't so goddamned far away.... (I'm 6'4").

Got a couple spots where mastic spooged up that I'll have to Dremel out before I grout it all... we'll see if my back lets me do that in one shot, or if it'll make me do a grind day and a grout day....

I kinda didn’t work on the Bee today, went 10miles to youngest son’s where it’s sat for 6-1/2months. Time for a startup and check for leaks. 5 second crank, 1 pump on throttle = wham, running. Who needs EFI I ask ya?! Mid 50’s in garage all that time. Also ‘Stabil’ in the tank. AND, no leaks. Left happy.( he has checked tire pressure couple times)

Flashbacks to when making plastic parts was a full time job! Who would have thought... Purolator up the laneway every day!

Got the "no face overlap" hinges on.
Glad we got the chops down on the standard ones.

What's better than one broken lawnmower?

How about two broken mowers.

Bent blade on the 42".

Bumped into the driveway a bit on the 30" and it bent the deck just enough to catch the blade- full stop. Also dislodged the chute/plug switch. Took a while to figure that out.

Now I gotta take the deck off and beat it out. can't get a good swing on it from the outside.

Grrr.

I made cornbread in the new to me, 100+ year old Griswold #5 cast iron skillet. Produced between 1916-1925

You just can't go wrong with a 65 cent Jiffy mix. one egg, and a 1/3 cup of milk. 15 minutes and you have some good eating.

Nice.

I inherited a cast iron skillet from my grandmother in 1992.
She said she was 19 when she got it and it was used at that time.
No tellin how old it actually is, but at least 100.

Set up to screen dirt to level the ditches I dug in the yard last summer to install a sump around my septic tanks.

Got everything filled and level so the next project is to rip up some more yard.

45 minutes later and I have the start to a new flower bed behind the pergola.

A couple hours of hand work and I'm ready to add dirt.

Woke up to rain this morning so I'll be out in the garage installing a new master cylinder.

Spent a few hours getting ready for a neighborhood garbage sale that started on Thursday. Glad there was a good breeze for the 2 1/2 days that I participated. I'm pretty sure that this will be the last one of these unless it's earlier in the year. Everyone wants to wait until after Mother's Day to have it and it gets hot starting in mid May here but there's less participation each year. Yesterday (Sunday) I picked up a friend that can't drive anymore and took him to check his PO Box and to eat.
