I soldered this tool up probably 20-25 years ago. Living in MI as I do I wanted to wash the salt off my truck and trailer. Discharge nozzle is a short pipe nipple I squeezed down in my press with a piece of sheet metal inside to give me a slit to spray the water. I just slide it around on the floor to use.

I knew a guy who raced on the salt and he used to set his car up on tall jack stands in the driveway and run sprinklers under the car for several days. He said even that did not work 100%. This was before some of the chemicals they have today.

Seems like the catch 22 here would be the high-pressure water jet and its unique angle might unfortunately drive salty water into places/seams it would never get on its own in normal conditions and then become trapped for eternity, causing over time worse damage?
My early experience with salt was with my go karts that we ran on an inland ocean flooded mud flat track that would flood twice a day, and the corrosion issues with the salted mud were a constant almost losing battle for this teenager.
However, it was an absolute blast to drive.

Nice.
About as many years ago I tried something like this. Instead of the pressed end , I drilled several small holes facing up on a six foot copper pipe. Idea was to set it on the ground and drive back and forth over it. Turned out to be a bad design. The water didn’t come out with much force.
