I have used many of the AMD bumpers on mini Mopar’s….. unless it’s a super rare hemi or 446 pack car just go with the AMD saving yourself a lot of trouble…… I am an a.m.d …. Dealer if you need help with them.
Since you’re a dealer, any intel as to why the 68-69 Plymouth B body bumpers have been in short supply over the last couple of years? Just curious.I have used many of the AMD bumpers on mini Mopar’s….. unless it’s a super rare hemi or 446 pack car just go with the AMD saving yourself a lot of trouble…… I am an a.m.d …. Both bumpers on my 67 Charger are shot. I looked into reproduction and its cheaper to have a local place just re-chrome them. They want like $250 in shipping plus the cost of the bumper. I found a place half hour away that can do it.I have original front and rear bumpers for my 70 Roadrunner which need restored. They will cost a lot more to restore than it would be purchase reproduction style OEM bumpers.
What are the pros and cons to each approach aside from cost.
Bumpers - Front Bumpers
Rear Bumper - 70 Plymouth B-Body
Has anybody else run into this decision and what did you do?
Thanks,
Drew

Not me.Does anyone like the black look? Especially with bright colors yellow or lime green. Black wheels and black bumpers powdered. Chrome covers on wheels . Any pics out there?

You guys got me thinking.... How would a 67 Charger look with bumpers the same color as the car?Yes, body color is nice agreed
You can't AFFORD to chrome in california (edit: well maybe that's wrong, maybe you and I CAN afford it.... I just choose not to!)You can't re-chrome in California?
The end of 2017, I ordered an AMD rear bumper and weighed it against my stock bumper. 21.5lbs to 22 lbs. So 8oz difference in weight isn't what I'd call a big difference.AMD bumpers ? A few cars I know, as well as a close buddy of mine, has them and in NO WAY are they as thick as OEM. Yeah, they look good, the fit is decent but NOT AS GOOD AS OEM - we did a side-by-side comparo.
