68 Charger quarter panels

Painted the inside of the trunk, and have been working on the crease line in the quarters for a couple days. Its a little tricky getting two gently curved surfaces to meet in a line that is also slightly curved.

Boy this subtle little crease line has been a challenge but making some progress. It will look like hell if its not perfect and I will always stare at it every time I get in the car. Switched to black primer and figured out that running a piece of chalk along one side, then sanding up to the line is working, but doing that puts in low spots and Im starting over with more glaze.

Sanded thru 600, shell is looking pretty skippy now so I need to back away from it for awhile and work on running gear parts before my molasses baths start freezing at night.

Your way ahead of me! I havent even started on my doors and front clip yet

that's where I'm at..... is this a race? :poke:

you posted a pic in my thread...... now we're even :D

You make it look easy, It sure as hell is not

I post up some pics, but nobody is there to witness the actual labor....... adding my car to the current lineup was beginning to kick my ***..... I had to get past the hardest part, and I'm there.

I'm about 12 days (120 hours?) in over the past 2 months; resurrecting work I did decades ago

must........keep.......going........

And you dont get to bad mouth the work that “last guy” did!

I find you get sick of sanding. When you refinish some parts like those it pumps you up again as you want to see them bolted onto the car.

Yes completely agree, I needed a vacation from all the sanding and it is a big refresher to work on something else for awhile before I get back into the rest of the body work.
