Pinion angle help

Pull a string on center line of trans and diff if they cross you have trouble
Also take string from centerline of diff and adjust for axle wrap 2 or 3 degs
 
is it possible that the factory leafs are so soft this isnt happening?
 
Not replying, just asking more questions. Sorry purist but now have a 4 link 3rd member and have a gear vender on the 727. Right now before any adjustments have numbers in the 6/7 degree area. The offset is as follows 7.1 / 6.9 so if I understand it is with in what is suggested as ok, but is way to much total?? seems as if have read max 3 and respective keep offset within close as possible?? thanx so much for any helpful advice :)

Start by downloading an app from Tremec for free. It's called Tremec Tool Box. Allows you to use your phone as an angle finder. Then compare to post #14 & #18
 
Tires? And is possible the engine/transmission or rearend is not square in the car? Theres more angles then just the vertical plane.
