That’s. What I meant. You could order them anyway you liked. I’m not sure how the factory decided what stripes and color combinations to use. Maybe it depended on how they were feeling that day. It would be neat if someone could post a directive from Chrysler on what factory combos were supposed to be.
I have a copy of an approved color scheme vs stripe ordering memo (directive) from Chrysler somewhere. I think it was originally posted by someone here if memory serves me right. I'll look for it this evening. Colors like my car in many times needed to be prepaid and confirmed before ordering. My car was a special order
 
708 hours of metal work so far. About 95% finished. Next up is a lot of sanding and smoothing weld spatter and such. Then sealers and POR15. Will post some wide shots of whole car soon.

I would avoid using POR-15, I have seen it peel in sheets off of clean bare metal. Epoxy or some kind of DTM primer would be a better choice IMHO…

yep........ por15 will grab rust and blasted metal....... not much else

The whole car was grit blasted. The POR 15 is for the inside floor pans and trunk. Everything else gets epoxy.

I used it on the floors of my Roadrunner about 20yrs ago and can confirm, it peeled off. Trying Eastwood Rust Encapsulator this time.
 
Just trying to save you some heartbreak. POR-15 might be a good way to freshen up a rusty utility trailer but I wouldn’t trust it on anything that would require major disassembly to repair if it failed.
Just talked to my body shop guy and he agrees that it will peel, but only if the metal is not prepared correctly. He said if people on the forum are having problems with it peeling then the surface was prepared incorrectly. He said he’s been using it for over 40 years and has never had a problem with it. I trust his work, as he is one of the best in the area.
 
Metal work pretty much done. Need to add a few drains for the sunroof and a couple of braces at the radiator for extra torque support, but other than that it’s time to move on to body work prepping for paint.

Adding stub outs for the 4 sunroof drains so the tubes don’t dump inside the rear quarters and door rockers. The tubes will attach to these on the inside so it drains away from the car.

Thanks. It’s hard to see from the pictures, but everything has been seam welded and smoothed out. There are also several areas that were reinforced with additional metal for torque twist. A lot of areas are boxed in to keep out dirt and moisture. Front frame rails were narrowed and reinforced to allow extra room for headers. It’s all the little things that add up.
