Just think how much fun it would be with aftermarket parts. Dialing in uniform gaps is very time consuming. Are you going to paint it all together or are you going to pull the doors and front end to paint? I’ve done it both ways and both have there drawbacks.

Thanks. Yes I’m looking forward to ending the metal work. The door bottoms were an unexpected surprise. We thought we were done with metal work and ran into the bad spots adding metal for the door gaps. Should be about another month and you will be able to see the end result. We were anticipating the body work to be completed this month, but ran into that rust on the doors. Next month for sure.
Not sure if acid dipping would have helped in this situation where the rust was in between seams. Plus it needed to be cut out, so even if dipping got it it would have made the metal very thin or nonexistent there.
