Just remembered another one
Early had slider ash tray. It had padding. Slide down instead of pulling open.
Second one with blue interior has slider ash tray and the early, with zeros, speedo but later horn padded button. And later rectangular “Vent” pulls instead of the round pulls 1...
Anyone know about early 3 speed wipers?
I suspect early ones MAY have had the black and silver, Leece Neville. I don’t know this but am curious. If that’s true I wonder what the date change was.
Later the one we’re all used to seeing.
perhaps @1 Wild R/T knows. Did your car come with 3...
The 150 speedo changed
Originally they had full numbers with zero
But changed to drop the zeros. The top one with zeros was to busy to read is my guess. Mine is hard to read a glance while driving. My RT has the original top style.
The temp gauge also changed at some point.
The water temp reading markings were off on early cars
My car

Later style
I can’t recall which is early / late but think bottom is the later one.
I changed the order of the pics and added a pic of my 9 Sep 67 car.

Please keep this thread on topic to the 1968 CORONET model line
Example:
Early got Inland...
Ah good to know! I’m thinking of converting my 68 R/T to a 4 speed so that’s helpful.
Sorry OP hopefully I didn’t worry you.
But fun hunt if you haven’t checked body numbers.
I see it’s a 68. Instead of serial it would be Vehicle Order Number.
stamped on rad support and under drivers side trunk wearer strip from underneath, also on fender tag if I recall.
OK
68 and 69 / 70 are diff.
I'll have a look around. I think I have one of these somewhere.

68 Conv trunk floor in case anyone else was wondering
Yeah it's just a pice of threaded rod.
I need a correct one if a convert had a defferent one than hardtops and couples. Otherwise I'm good I have those.
Are 66 - 70 B body Convert spare tire hold downs (the threaded rod with a crook at one end) the same on hardtop/coupe and convertibles?
Or were ones for converts longer or a different shape or something?
I have some that came out of hard tops but my R/T convert didn't have an original one...
