So I had some more time to work on my 1976 Cordoba's rear shocks. So when I got the lower eyelet/bushing on the stud I see this:
My question is - Will the bushing compress enough once I get the retainer and bolt on, or do I need to trim back the bushing? Thank you.
I am replacing the rear shocks on my 1976 Cordoba. The upper bolts are really rusty. They are so rusty that they only came out of the sleeve after a lot of work. Do I need to use grade 8 bolts? The heads of the old bolts are too rusty to tell if they are marked as grade 8 or not. Thank you.
I have also listed this in the "Paint, Exterior, etc" forum but I thought this forum might be a more direct source of information: I am trying to remove the bumper filler from the passenger-side rear bumper of my 1976 Cordoba. Can these be taken off of the car without removing the bumper? I have...

My windshield wipers broke, and I believe that I need to remove these to begin the repair process. Mine are in pretty good shape so I would like to do this properly to give them every chance to survive! What is the proper way to remove them? Thank you!
I cannot find where the FSM describes how to remove the bulkhead connector on my 78 Magnum (360 2-bbl, A/C, CC). The illustration in the FSM seems to show that there are just a couple of internal clips that hold it on. So before I made a terrible mistake, I thought I would come to the experts to...
I am trying to install the right front brake line from an "Inline Tube" kit on my 1978 Magnum. The car has A/C, emission control stuff and Cruise Control. I can't seem to figure out how to install this without cutting and splicing (or removing the engine:eek:.) Is anyone familiar with this kit...
Hello to All,
I am trying to remove the upper bezel on my 1976 Cordoba, so I can get at the headlight switch. I have a FSM, it does not have detailed instruction. Basically, the FSM sez to remove the screws and pull it off. The screws are out, but I can't get it past the steering column?? What...
I have a '76 Cordoba that has a 60 amp alternator. I have heard that the wiring harnesses were "sized" to the alternator. If this is true would it be dangerous to upgrade to a 78amp alternator? My 60amp has a single groove pulley, the 78amp has a two groove pulley. Would this be an issue? Thanks
Or more accurately, how do I get the round center pad off without breaking it. Once I get the pad off I think the FSM will get me the rest of the way. Also, is it possible to re-size images? If so, how?
Thanks
I want to check/set the air gap (reluctor to dist pickup) on a '76 360. What size socket is needed to attach to the front of the engine (balancer/crank) so I can turn the crank to get a tooth to be in the proper spot? Do I need to only turn it clockwise?
Thanks,
Tim
I have a '76 Cordoba that won't start. It is getting fuel (wet plugs.) When I try to start it, it seems like it wants to start as soon as I disengage the starter, that is as soon as I release the key from the start position. I hooked up a spark tester and got the same result..as soon as I...
Not too picky. They just gotta fit a '78 Magnum. Stock factory, driver quality Cragar, or keystone. Need to be true and in SE Wisconsin or close to it. Thanks.
I posted this in the electrical section, but have received no replies yet, so I am posting this here with hopes of getting better results!!
I have a 1976 Cordoba. One morning when I started it, the horn went on by itself, then over a period of 1-2 seconds faded out. I have determined that...
I have a 1976 Cordoba, One morning when I started it, the horn went on by itself, then over a period of 1-2 seconds faded out. I have determined that it is blowing the fuse (according to the flow chart in the FSM) due to a bad ground. When I replace the fuse I can hear the horn relay clicking (a...
