I am looking for any info on converting these old OMC ignition systems over to a MSD 6A set-up. I believe they were used from like '68 up to '73-4 maybe. I have read about it being a do-able swap, but just wondered if anyone on here would have any good info. Basically I believe I need to cut the...
Well, I am not a Gold member, so I really have no right to complain, but as Joe Walsh said "Sometimes I still do". So my issue is ; since the upgrade to the site, I no longer enjoy coming here. Nothing really seems to work right for me and it is just frustrating as heck. I am a life-long B body...
A buddy of mine recently bought a 1941 Chevy pick-up and had it towed to my shop. It is in amazing condition, touted as "all original". My buddy never drove or rode in vehicle before purchase. This truck has the 4 speed trans option, which is a non synchronized unit with straight cut gears and...
Very possible that Ohio is the epicenter of the car culture universe this summer. We had the NHRA tour stop at Norwalk end of June, Monster Mopar event in July (Norwalk), Pontiac Nationals (their Superbowl) end of July (Norwalk), Mopar Nationals this weekend (basically Columbus), Hot Rod Power...
I rebuilt trans over the winter and decided to install new Hays 11-430 steel flywheel before reinstalling trans. Now my clutch adjustment has changed dramatically. So much so that I will need a longer adjusting rod. At first I thought I had a fork to bearing positioning issue, but it APPEARS...
Anybody have any recommendations for extended length non-adjustable rear shocks for street/strip '67 Belvedere with 3400lb SS springs and manual trans ? Thanks
I am ( unbelievably ) having a hard time finding the correct bypass hose for a 273" engine I took out of a '67 Belvedere. It had a Holley intake on it, but the hose does not look altered. It is roughly 13/16" at water pump end, and 1"-1 1/16" at manifold end. Anybody have a good part # for this...
Can anyone help id this grill ? Thought for years it was mid 70's GM, but someone thought Chrysler. Told him he was crazy, but it does look damn close to a '77 Newport, maybe ???? Swore I got it from a GM !! Thanks.
It was a tough day on MeTV for Molars ! First on Chips, a '64 (?) Dart wagon was wrecked and firebombed on the highway (and it had a factory roof-rack on it !!). Then on Walker Texas Ranger, a nice hot-rodded '64 (?) Polara/Fury was flipped running from Walker and then, of course, exploded after...
Wondering if anyone could help me identify an old as spring I have. Put it on a car probably around 1984-5. The part # stamped on spring is 2835132. Also has 3 separate stampings of, 712.....76......2118. Want to maybe use it on low budget '71 Valiant build for my son, so trying to identify for...
