Oil pan recommendations for street/strip 70 b body

I replaced my 7 quart Milodon with a 440 source 6 quart hemi pan and 440 source pickup. The Milodon pan was too low and I put a hole in it. The 440 source pan was delivered damaged. One of the corners was bent up like the pan was dropped. Because time was an issue I repaired the pan instead of...

Oil pan recommendations for street/strip 70 b body

This happened yesterday. Had to take evasive action because of an inattentive driver in front of me. Hole is in back by drain plug. Luckly I was only about 1/2 mile from home. Lost oil pressure as I was pulling into garage. If I had a stock type pan I would have been ok. So I'm going with the 6...

BRAKE LIGHTS, EMERGENCY FLASHER, TURN SIGNALS INOP

Thanks. Went back in the dash and took another look at the turn signal harness. Seems it wasn't fully seated to the under dash harness. All is good again.

BRAKE LIGHTS, EMERGENCY FLASHER, TURN SIGNALS INOP

The brake lights, turn signals (left/right forward/aft), and flasher are not working on 68 Charger. Everything else works as it should. Is there a common denominator between these three systems? All the obvious stuff checked good: bulbs, fuse, connections, etc. The dash is not installed with the...

Diff between 68 and 69 ignition switch

According to Van's the 68 switch came with both the 4 and 5 pin versions depending on car options. As far as the different bezel thread pitch, it was some type of reproduction screw up. Van's told me that most of the small pitch switches were no longer in the system but somehow I got one. In...

Diff between 68 and 69 ignition switch

I have a 68 Charger. Need an ignition switch. Switch on left is what came out of car and switch on right is new one. Besides the difference in terminals the bezel thread pitch is also different. Is the new switch for 69 and above or is this the substitute switch for the correct part?

    Ignition switch bezel

Ordered a new ignition switch for 68 Charger, however the trreads on the new switch don't match the bezel. The threads on the bezel are course and the new switch is fine. What gives? Did I get the wrong switch? Switch came from Vans

Is heat shrink good for in tank work?

Whats in the pic is the hardware that the old pump came with. The new pump came with nothing. Polyolefin is considered fuel compatible but there is some debate on to what degree - submerged vs environmental exposure for example Because of the small circumference of the cover plate better hose...

Is heat shrink good for in tank work?

Rewiring new fuel pump (Walbro 255) I want to use heat shrink on the connectors that attach to the end of the fuel pump harness. I use MSD duel wall, tube set with adhesive heat shrink. It is made of polyolefin. The connectors attach at the top of the fuel pump mount plate so they will not...

    How to determine wire size

I did exactly that. My wire strippers are manufactured by Klein tools; they are good quality. I took a wire and it fit perfectly in the 14 gauge hole. When I measured the wire thickness with calipers it measured .080. From the information I got off the net 12 gauge is .0808. Hence my dilemma

    How to determine wire size

I have a lot of primary wire in different gauges. Over the years the manufacture tags have gone missing. Is there an easy and reliable method to determine what gauge the wire is? How do you accurately differentiate say between 12-14 gauge? 16-18 gauge? 20-22 gauge? I have wire between 8 and 22...

Where did you mount your aftermarket ignition control box?

Thanks for the info rmchgr. I was on eficonnection last night. Good site. I was on Waytec also; another good site. I'll start with the ECU because that's the farthest away. It's mounted on the passenger floor just underneath the heater box. Not where I really wanted it but at the end of the day...

Where did you mount your aftermarket ignition control box?

Yeah that's for sure. I'm feeling that pain now. I ended up mounting the ECU inside the car. I wanted to get under the battery but I don't want to give up the vacuum canister for the headlights and I really don't like drilling holes in the engine bay Same issue with the wires here. I'm going to...

Where did you mount your aftermarket ignition control box?

At this point I don't care about car looking stock. Not really a lot of places to mount this. The car has a 26 inch rad so that rules out the rad support. Really no place under the dash unless it is mounted upside down and the directions say not to do that. I pulled the glove box liner out to...

Where did you mount your aftermarket ignition control box?

I didn't know that. Learn something new every day. So that absolutely rules out removing it for control box install.

Where did you mount your aftermarket ignition control box?

That's on the list of possibilities but I wanted to keep the emissions canister which is under the battery

Where did you mount your aftermarket ignition control box?

I'm installing sniper system in 68 Charger. Using sniper control box and coil. Where did you mount your control box and coil? There are not many places to mount these in this car. Just curious on what other people have done. Pics appreciated. Thanks
