I’m reassembling my passenger door after many years. The thin rod that connects the key cylinder to the lock mechanism cannot attach. The larger/flat rod that connects door handle push button to the lock mechanism is in the way. I can’t unlock the passenger door with the key. I’m not sure it...
Does someone have a picture or definitive dimensions of the hood stripes on a 1970 Road Runner? I can't find my "before" pictures and I'm seeing two different sets of dimension online. THANKS FOR THE HELP!
I've got a 70 Road Runner and the driver's door latch is old/worn. The star wheel has worn teeth and the pin it rides on is sloppy. The plastic striker is very worn too. I got another on Ebay, but it's not exactly the same. The star wheel and striker look really good on the Ebay latch...
70 Road Runner 4-speed console car - I bought a matched set of console/glove box/trunk locks. The aftermarket console lock seems like it's a little bit too large of diameter to fit in the hole in the console lid. I'd really like to have a console lock (mine never locked) and only 2 keys...
1970 Roadrunner convertible - I'm working on the door glass & vent window glass on my car. At the bottom of the division channel, down inside the door, there are two "adjustment L-hooks" that have broken off. I found one down inside the door & the other one is gone.
I bought a replacement...
I have my vent window frame out of the door & have removed the old vent window seal. I'm having a heck of a time squeezing in the new rubber seal. Any tricks?
Are the wing vent window seals on a 70 b-body convertible the same as a hard top? I thought that all the glass was unique to convertibles (including wing vent window), but I saw a parts dealer showing them fitting "all b-bodies". What's the true story?
THANK YOU!
70 Roadrunner & I stripped the captured nut for the upper door hinge on the driver's side. If it were one of the two bolts coming out into the hinge, I would just replace the hinge, but is the bolt that has the captured nut up in the body.
How do I fix it? Where can I find another captured...
I saw a for sale post with a guy selling a hood tachometer for a RIDICULOUS amount of money. It had turned into a discussion post (against rules), so I decided to start a real discussion. Some people were saying that they were sold aftermarket in the 80's and other saying they were never...
I've got a 70 Roadrunner convertible & I'm trying to finish up the body work so I can paint the car. I have some rusted areas near the trunk corners & at the top of the trunk drip rail channels. I'm looking at AMD, Goodmark & Sherman patch panels
1. These corner say "not for convertible or...
Can anyone recommend a good body shop in the Chicago area? I don't need anything super exotic done, but you guys know that some shops won't even work on historic cars and others cost and arm and a leg can keep your car for a year...don't want that.
I've used American Auto Restoration in Homer...
