1965 nascar intake

I was wondering if anyone can help with identifying the work done on this intake. Its a 1965 NASCAR intake that was cut apart modified and welded back together. The top was machined down at some point and the adapter was added for a smaller bolt pattern. Would it be a early Arien Vanke? or by a nascar team to cheat with? Part # on bottom is 2468043. Any thoughts?

Is that a magnesium intake? 2468043 shows up for 1964. Due to the Nascar Hemi ban, Chrysler pulled out of the 1965 season.
I wonder if the '043' part was for Petty's benefit.
There were different casting revisions. If you take off the bottom heat shield it might show more of what was modified.

That is what the bottom looks like. It is aluminum. Only the top left/ passenger side was modified.
