1972 Satellite / GTX RestoMod

A peak at my seat design, the repair of my taillight assembly/bumper and a photo of my power window window regulator. (installed)

Also started my Headliner. The roof was all ready sprayed with lizard skin but I added the jute padding. The white "padding" was something I purchased Many years ago. I had it so, I installed it also.(Overkill) A pic of the rear 1/4 glass with new weather stripping and TopKat whiskers kit. I started my headliner. uuuuuughhh. I will learn as I go. Thank goodness for Youtube instructional vids.

The quarter glass was an adventure. The glass in the photo is OEM (Good Original)from Ebay. I originally purchased clear 1/4 glass from Classic industries for the '71. I soon discovered that 71 and 72 are different. (71 has a metal bracket that the glass was adhered to) I have them sitting on a shelf (Still wrapped in the protective paper) and will sell them. I just got very lucky with the Ebay find. My original door and 1/4 glass had that green tint and I will be selling those also. Thank you for the compliment. Steve did ALL of the body work and paint for me. I am reassembling the car. I will be posting pictures of my headliner job soon.

Not to high jack your thread but speaking of the 1/4 glass, anyone know where this bracket goes to? I'm sure it's for the 1/4 but I also am having a bout of "I can't remember" syndrome. Thanks if anyone knows

I have one of those "Factory exploded view" CD's. I did not find that part listed in any section. It looks like(from your one picture) like a bracket that might go on your heater box to support a cable. I just finished reinstalling all my glass and I have not seen that part at all.

No, not on heater box. It's not cable operated

Here are the after pics of my headliner. I made one mistake in the beginning, I did not lay it out in the sun. I had been folded up in a box for multiple years. I spritzed areas with water and heated those areas with a good blow-dryer to remove most wrinkles (after installation) but did not get all. First time ever doing a head liner and I give myself a score of 89 out of a 100. I am good with that. Let me know what you think.

I was focusing on my other many hobbies. It is now time to give the love of my life more attention... finally. Typical before shots:

Michael, It's looking better all the time. Its a long process but hang in there, it will all be worth it in the end. You did a good job on the interior. hope everything is going well with you.

On your stock lower control arms it looks like they did not have the bottom strength support plate on them. The support plates kept the lower control arm from cracking and flexing. When I rebuilt my 74 Dart Sport suspension I got the strength plates from Mancini Racing and welded them on.

Part number MREAR319 cheap for $22. Unless you are going with new aftermarket tubular control arms.

Steve, I had purchased the PST suspension lower control arm "Rebuild/strengthening" kit before the disassembly. As you know, I was looking for a lower control arm. I found a set AFTER I went ahead and purchased the QA1 tubular ones.
