Figures I don't take a couple of my regulars picks & now they do well...
I'll have to hope for a good showing in eliminations now... :headbang:
looks like another drop in points again... :angryfire:

Congrats to moparn1jr (FABO) and OldmanRick for both being the Top Qualifiers at the Route 66 Nationals with outstanding totals of 31.0 bonus points - just 1.0 point from perfection. moparn1jr. picked the #1 qualifier in Top Fuel, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle, and the #3 qualifier in Funny Car. OldmanRick picked the #1 qualifier in Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock Motorcycle, and the #3 qualifier in Pro Stock.
bobtile (FBBO) again is right behind with 30.5 bonus points.
Way to go all!

This week players picked:
* 4 different Top Fuel drivers. The earliest there could possibly be head-to-head matchups is in the semi-finals.
* 9 different Funny Car drivers with two Round 1 head-to-head matchups. One between John Force (5 picks) and Alexis DeJoria (1 pick), and one between Jack Beckman (1 pick) and Matt Hagan (2 picks). There is a potential of 3 head-to-head matchups in Round 2 of eliminations.
* 7 different Pro Stock drivers but no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. Like Top Fuel there is a possibility of 3 head-to-head matchups in the 2nd round of eliminations.
* 5 different Pro Stock Motorcycle riders and, again, no head-to-head matchups in Round 1 of eliminations, but the possibility of 2 head-to-head matchups in Round 2.

Don't forget, TV coverage of eliminations start at 3:00PM EDT (Noon PDT) on Sunday and the semi-final and final rounds of eliminations will be shown LIVE!

And too bad Elvira Karlsson didn't qualify in Pro Stock Motorcycle. Did you catch the segment on her during the qualifying coverage? She's got to start running better so she's on TV more often!

Congrats Bob!

Yeah aint she something. When they were interviewing her I told my wife "Huh, do you think she's from Sweden?" I just got a sideways look...

If last week was the "Hole Shot Nationals", then this event should have been the "Half Hole Shot Nationals" since there were only about half as many as last week. Hot weather and a greasy track resulted in some big names going out earlier than usual.
Congratulations to first year player 'DustedOff' (FABO) for being "Top Picker Eliminator" for the Route 66 Nationals with a very nice point total of 124.0. He picked the class winner in Top Fuel and Funny Car, and both his Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle picks went one round of eliminations.
'bad440' (FABO) came in as the event runner-up with a nice point total of 120.5 with class wins in both Top Fuel and Pro Stock. His Pro Stock Motorcycle pick went one round of eliminations and his Funny Car pick lost in the opening round.
'Budnicks' was the best FBBO picker with 111.5 points.
Great picking all!

Here's where the bonus points were earned if you picked the right drivers:

Top Fuel
E.T. - Doug Kalitta, 3.767 during qualifying
Speed - Doug Kalitta, 327.43 during qualifying

Funny Car
E.T. - Tommy Johnson Jr. , 3.999 during qualifying
Speed - Courtney Force, 322.50 during qualifying

Pro Stock

too bad Doug Kalitta can't win races, like he qualifies,
I should be using him for my qualifying picks, for all the little points,
but then I would lose out on race points or bonus points changing picks
