Effective immediately, yesterday {or wed.?}
New NHRA rules in FC,
max 32* of header pipe lay back angle,
as apposed to the recent 45* lay back angle
& a 2.750" max diameter pipe, with-in 8" of the body exit
with no step down pipes style pipe...
IMO & all the FC teams, it will now effect recent ET's & Mph...
to paraphrase;
1) NHRA's reasoning was the cars were getting unsafe & squirrelly to handle
with the new swept back pipe angles...
2) They also said it'd help the less funded teams keep up, in aspects of R&D...
Yeah right, I highly doubt that...
what about the teams that have already spent the $2000 ?
on the 45* swept. headers ?
NHRA just made them junk & worthless, waste of $$$$...
Sounds a bit like our failing nanny state govt. agencies running NHRA now...
