So:
I'm confused....
Did I receive any points for picking Doug Kalita and Eddie Kraweic?

My score says: No Change......
Just wanted to know how this works...

I hear ya Ski...191 points this week and no change. Guess that's the way it goes. LOL

Hey ski, yes your score for the week was 149.0 points. The "no change" refers to the point standings - you didn't go up and you didn't go down, you stayed in the same place in the standings.
6pk2goDemon went up 2 places in the standings (4th place to 2nd place)
Budnicks went up 1 place (11th place to 10th place)
alsant, Back in Time and johnnycuda all dropped a place in the standings

The individual player's point totals always change from event to event - unless they didn't post any picks for that event. For your individual event scores simply compare from the most recent (Post #276) to the prior event (Post #257).
Refer back to Post #1 to see how the event point scoring is determined.
Questions are always welcome...ask away!

I had 3 winners Capps, Line, Kraweic & 1 semi loser Brown
& only went up 1 place...

sorry ocdart, I couldn't help it...LOL

Just saw this on V Gains FB page. PS field will be 12 cars now? Effective immediately the way I understand.

"To all our friends, fans, and supporters:
Well over 20 years ago we started this racing adventure. We have made some amazing friends along the way, met some of the most loyal fans a race team could ever want to have, we have formed a partnership with Kendall Motor Oil that will never be forgotten….We have always taken our racing serious but more important we have always raced to enjoy weekends and have some fun.
Today we announce our retirement from NHRA Pro Stock racing. This decision is purely based on the fact the fun has left this chapter in life.
We are thankful for all the support from our friends, fans, and family, and most of all from Kendall Motor Oil."

WOW that's a shocker,
is he saying that the NHRA P/S field
in all races going forward will only be 12 car fields ???
That'd be really bad IMO...

Damn, I need to go to NHRA site & check that out...

I know they've been having problems getting full fields in al the pro-classes...
Cubic $$$'s way too costly unless your a big $$$ multicar team,
with big sponsorship $$$'s/funding, very few independents like there was,
back in the hay-day of Drag racing, 24-32-64 cars to qualify for 16 spots,
in most all categories, I remember @ many races...

NHRA is dying a slow death in Pro Categories,
a bunch of races with less than full fields this year...
Too bad he's/V. Gaines is retiring, I always liked him,
he's a true Mopar guy, even when he wasn't competitive...

Do you have some link or something ?
I saw the last part, but nothing about the field sizes...
I can't find anything on NHRA's site about a reduced field etc. either

I hope & wish he does well in what ever V. Gaines chooses to do too...

I don't do facebook either...
I spend all my extra time on FBBO

Sorry to hear it. V was a super nice guy to talk to at the track. He gave me one of his white Mopar hats that you can't buy anywhere. I'll miss routing for him. PS, and the NHRA in general, is not, as the kids would say, trending upward.

No I'm not sure what the car count will be. Was just guessing at 12.
There were only 14 cars qualified in Bristol and 15 in Norwalk.

I just read the same thing about V's immediate retirement on competitionplus.com. Too bad, but understandable.
NHRA needs to make all the Pro classes simpler and less expensive for the racers in order to get more involved. I'd support a change in all the Pro rules back to what they currently run in the Nostalgia classes. It would make for a better show.

Hey all, we had a week off without any NHRA drag racing so here's your 'Tuesday before the event' reminder (I'm writing this late Monday night, but you probably won't see it until Tuesday) to get your picks posted for the upcoming 19th Annual Route 66 NHRA Nationals, July 7-10 at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL.
As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts on Friday, July 8 in order to qualify for all event bonus points. Pro qualifying is scheduled to start at 6:15PM EDT (3:15 PM PDT).
The Route 66 NHRA Nationals entry list is posted on NHRA.com and currently shows 17 Top Fuel, 18 Funny Car, 17 Pro Stock and 22 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries, but the counts are always subject to change. Keep checking http://www.nhra.com/events/entrylist13.aspx for an updated entry list.

Don't forget to post your picks before Pro Qualifying starts - you don't want to miss out on all the bonus points.
