Just checked the weather forecast for Reading, PA, and it looks a little "iffy" on getting this event in on schedule. Forecast shows cloudy and 70% chance of rain today (NHRA.com shows the race is currently under a rain delay), thunderstorms and 90% chance of rain on Saturday, cloudy and 90% chance of rain on Sunday, and a continuing 10%-50% chance of rain each day all the way through October 9.

Friday qualifying at Maple Grove was rained out. They're going to try again on Saturday, but two rounds of qualifying MAX.

'Mother Nature' eventually allowed NHRA to get in a 2nd round of Top Fuel qualifying but all other pro classes only got 1 round of qualifying.
Understandably, this resulted in some unusual qualifying spots for some of the "big name" teams and will also probably result in some early round upsets. The continuing wet weather and cool temps are going to play havoc with Crew Chief's tunes. I expect a bunch of early round "smoke shows" with a lack of traction from both Top Fuel and Funny Car.
Congrats to 'Nick2317' (FBBO) for being the best "foul weather" picker and grabbing the Top Qualifier title for the Dodge// Nationals with a nice total of 27.5 bonus points. 'Nick2317' picked the #1 qualifier in both Funny Car and Pro Stock Motorcycle, the #2 qualifier in Pro Stock and the #9 qualifier in Top Fuel. Way to go!
'71dartswinger' (FABO) was right behind with 26.5 points.

We have 16 players for the 21st event of the 2016 NHRA "Pick 'Em game season, and the third event of the Countdown. 16 players and 16 different driver combos made up of:

Current Sunday weather forecast shows partly cloudy, a high of 68F and a 30% chance of rain.
They should be able to get the event completed, but Round 1 of Top Fuel and Funny Car may be a crapshoot after minimal qualifying runs and who knows the starting line condition following all the wet weather.
