Ok so here is the deal. Would like to keep the effort made by @318willrun for the previous races.
Only changes looking to be made would be wanting to set up a cubic inch chart to allow for strokers and big blocks.
Change 2 would be whether to use a conversion factor to allow the 1/8th mile guys compete.

Want to host 2 races that will include the B,C and F body guys if they are interested.

Race 1 to validate any changes would be those attending 2020 Roadkill Ziptie Drags.
Race 2 the main event.

Please keep discusion civil.

The current chart.

273 .060 for each Cubic in.
318 .05
340 .045
360 .0425
318 mag .049
360 mag .0416

Taking into account that a 408 would automatically get a -0.4 for the overbore and playing around with the above thousandths it didnt work out as a
408LA would be -2.04
408Mag -1.9968
Not sure if that would be a good indicator.

This is if just using the chart and some math. Hence the need for a cubic inch chart.

Ok here are some questions.
1. Should we keep the small blocks together and add a stroker/big block class?
2. Anyone have any imput on a cubic inch chart?
3. If we do a cubic inch chart should we keep the 318 LA as the bench mark?
4. How many people are actually interested in doing another race?

Nominal Car (TDC) Tenths E.T.
LA 318-2 stock with 2.76 gears in a 3300 lb car (no driver) 100 % street at sea level (dual exh. ok) - 15.9

Weight 3300 lbs no driver. Add + / Subtract - .1 per 100lb (round to the nearest 100) always no driver.

Gear (2.45-2.99) = TDC (3.00-3.49) = -.3 (3.50-3.99) = -.5 (4.00-4.49) = -.7

Tires Height 25 inch - 28.5 inch =TDC 29 inch or more + .2 any D.O.T. tire OK

Vans/Trucks + .3 for wind resistance on any full size Van or Pickup (dakota/durango is NOT full size)

4x4 + .2 for 4x4's without loc-out hubs

Elevation
+.2 every 1000 ft. (use front numeral, no rounding) Do not figure air quality

Blocks/Cubic Inches
318 318 cubic inches is base (TDC)
273 +.6 for using a 273
340 -.5 for using a 340 block
360 -.6 for using a 360 block
Magnums subtract an extra -.3 from the C.I. section if you are using a magnum block

Engine Build (LA 318 2bbl is Base Engine)
Carb/intake -.4 be it a 4bbl, 6bbl, 2x4, FI, 360 2bbl, or anything other than factory 318 2bbl.

Exhaust -.4 for headers

Heads -.4 for worked 318 heads or stock 340/360/stock magnum heads

727 +.3 tenths for 727
OD/998/999 no penalty. Weight of O.D., and lock up with stock converters offset low 1st gear

-.7 for upgraded super street converter of 3000 stall or more

Valve body -.2 for manual valve body
Tranny continued
Manual -.3 if you have a clutch

Clarifications
1) Car must be 100% street and remain that way at time trial. Street means pump gas, and cruising 1/2
hour at 55 mph on summer day is no problem. No open headers/slicks.
2) No power adders (boost/nitrous/high octane fuel)
3)Definition of "worked heads" mentioned, means milling over .010, any porting/gasketmatching or
larger valves.
4) Traction devices including DOT drag radials are ok. No Penalty
5) Hood scoops and fresh air are OK. No Penalty
6) Any ignition upgrades are OK. No Penalty
7) Honesty, just be honest. No purse, so keep your integrity
8) + is add. - is subtract

New thread will be going up if anyone would like to join in on the fun. If I can figure out a way to set up one for the Bi Block guys I will.

Ok starting with the same TDC car as the penalty box do these seem like realistic e.t.'s?
383 15.2
400 14.4
440 13.86
My problem is that the # for the increase in cid decreases with each jump of say 20 cid.
318 .05
340 .045
360 .0425
383 .0396
400 .0360
440 .0315
Just math and not sure where to take my baseline e.t. sources from to give a good run as 1/4 mile data is inconsistant.
