Qualifying doesn't start until March 8 so there's still time for more to register.

UPDATE TO POST #16...

Announcement today on NHRA.com says Leah Pruett has opted to NOT compete at the season-opening Gatornationals.
Josh Hart has moved in to the #8 spot for the Top Fuel Callout. Antron Brown has moved up to the #6 spot in the Callout and Shawn Langdon moved up to the #7 spot.
Tony Stewart is now expected to compete in both qualifying rounds on Friday and Saturday.

Because the Gatornationals are the season-opening NHRA event, I'm sending out the usual "Before The Event" reminder a day early.
Please post your Gatornationals picks before qualifying starts so you will be eligible for all event bonus points.
Gatornationals qualifying is scheduled to start at 2:00pm EST (11:00am PST) on Friday, March 8.

Please check nhra.com to make sure your picks are competing in this event.

Congratulations to 'Yunick13' (FABO) for winning the 2024 season-opening NHRA Gatornationals Top Qualifier title with an oustanding total of 31.0 bonus points. He picked the #1 qualifier in both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle and the #2 qualifier in both Top Fuel and Funny Car. Way to go!

There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in Round 2 if all four drivers survive Round 1.

JMO but that tv coverage was terrible.
I think Tony Stewart did pretty good even though he lost first round. That thing smoked the tires and he pedaled it and kept on going to only loose by a car length. He's only going to get better.

Congratulations to 'Yunick13' (FABO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for the 2024 season-opening NHRA Gatornationals with an outstanding total of 176.0 points with class wins in both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle. Both his Top Fuel and Funny Car picks lost in the semi-final round of eliminations. He was helped with ET bonus points in both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle, and by Speed bonus points in Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle.
'memike' (FABO) and 'TT5.9mag' (FABO) shared the runner-up spot with 173.5 points each. They both picked the class winners in both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle. Their Funny Car pick lost in the semi-finals and their Top Fuel pick lost in the second round of eliminations. They were helped with ET bonus points in Top Fuel, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle, and by Speed bonus points in all four professional classes.

As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts at 7:30pm EDT (4:30pm PDT) on Friday, March 22.

FYI, at the end of the television broadcast of the Gatornationals they announced the 2024 NHRA season will be 20 events rather than the previously announced 21.
The event previously specified as "TBA" will happen starting in 2025.
