Anyone know about the operation of the 46RH i rebuilt the unit when i run the transmission unloaded on a test engine i can select reverse,1st ,second & third & the output shaft changes speed.
When i put power on the 2 overdrive wires nothing happened does the transmission need to be loaded before the over drive will work.

There is a hydraulic governer on the valve body that regulates o.d. engagement.
Hold the rpms at 1800 min and try again
