I'm in the beginning stages of building a 512 low deck stroker for my street-strip 66 Coronet. I'm hoping to get some input from the wealth of knowledge that I see every day here in the race forum on B Bodies. The car sees limited use on the street, never gets more then 40 miles from house. Race track (BIR) is 7 miles from my house and I drive there when I race. My goal is a 11 flat, high 10's ET car. My 3750 lb car is set up with Hughes competition manual shift 727 with trans-brake, 9.5 inch 4000 stall street-strip converter, 4.10 rear gear, SS leafs, Calvert adjustable rear shocks, 28.5 MT 10 inch drag radial. Subframes are tied together, 90-10 Calvert shocks up front. Fuel system for the track is a 8 gallon fuel cell plumbed with QF electric pump and 8an steel braided line up to the engine compartment running 105 octane gas. My plan for the low deck 512 is a 440 Source kit with 11.5 cr flat top pistons, ring gaps will be set for mild nitrous shot, 78 cc aluminum head that will flow 265 on intake side, solid lift cam with 288 advertised duration, 615 lift, 1.5 roller rockers. Trick Flow single plane intake. Fuel delivery will be a Holley 900 cfm Sniper XFlow fuel injection system rated for 800 plus naturally-aspirated horsepower. Spark is from a MSD 6 digital box & MSD distributor. Looking for input, too much cam? Not enough cam? Does anything stick out as a bad idea? Only other thing I will add is I have a narrowed Dana 60 which will be installed when I do a mini-tub and move the springs in but that will be at least a year out. Thank you.
